At Naringal Baptist we have a fair few kids, mostly under knee high but there are plenty of cool kids from grade 5-12. So every second Monday night we have Youth Group. Its For grade 5-12 and offers some great fun. We meet at the Church at 6pm and share a meal together, hang out and chat. Then its into some games. Once we've played, we break of into a group where we get the opportunity to discuss God's awesome word and ask questions.We have three wonderful and capable Youth leaders, Simone, Ella and Simon. Every month we also have a night or weekend where we do something a little different. In the past we have done the following. - Water skiing
- Youth Camp
- Car rally
- Winter sleep out
- Youth Alive
- Progressive diner
- Movie night
- 40hour famine
Some of these events will be coming up soon and there will be more info closer to the date. Additionally once a month the girls and the boys of the group do separate activities. We find that these activities allow for great openness within the group. Such as at the moment the girls group are about to start making their own rag dolls in which once finished will be auctioned off to raise money for a girls slavery organisation. The guys group are looking at being a little more adventurous and manly, with such activities as surfing, 4wd, fishing, hiking, camping. We hope to begin on Sunday the 10th of May, and continuing every 2nd Sunday each month. We love seeing new faces so if you fit the criteria, then come along. |
