It's based on program from New Zealand, called 'Toolbox'.

Odds on you've probably heard of World Vision. They're a re***ble charitable organisation who do a power of good, practical stuff for a wide range of people and purposes. One of those mighty works happens in your local primary school believe it or not. This is the "Kids Hope" mentoring program. We had the pleasure of having the national manager, Marilyn Leermakers, at our church service this morning to talk about "Kids Hope".
Rather than trying to rephrase what "Kids Hope" is on about, here's what their website spiel says;
"The future of Australia's children
KIDS HOPE AUS. is a World Vision ministry aimed at creating a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable Australian children and their families. It is a mentoring ministry built on a long-term partnership between local churches and primary schools, where a caring adult from the church spends one hour each week with a child
